Chic, Relaxing, and Scandi - The Pool That’s All Heart

This was one of those projects where we got to stretch our creative muscles. The vision - an inviting, beautifully modern pool with that soft, Scandi calmness. Something that works for hot summer days just as well as it does for, cool evenings with friends. Right from the first meeting with our client, it was clear that we wanted to craft a space that did more than just look nice - it had to make you feel something.

This kidney-shaped pool isn’t just a water feature, it’s the focal point of the backyard. It draws you in. We like to think of this project as a well-made puzzle, where every element, every material choice, just clicks together. The task in the beginning was to fix up the old pool - but in the end, we decided to go for a fresh start and a brand new design. And honestly, we’re so glad we did. It allowed us to really dig into the brief and bring out exactly what our client was after.

The vibe is calm and distinctly Scandi, with the pool set close to the house. There’s a spa right there for those winter evenings and a steam room that peeks through from the landscaping. If you ask us, the landscaping itself is a treat. Bringing it all together is the material palette - the ceramic tiles bounce light and bring a vibrancy against the exposed concrete. The oval wooden steam room isn’t something you see often and it was an interesting detail to work into the plan. Eco-friendly heat pumps keep everything at the right temperature. And a clever design means that it doesn’t cost the earth. This way, we get to be conscious of the planet and still enjoy a little luxury.

Our favourite bit - watching each piece of this puzzle come together as we made something that is as practical as it is beautiful. A serene escape for our clients and their families, right in their own backyard. And when we get it just right, it doesn’t feel like work anymore. It just feels rewarding.
