Malvern Project: A Dream Pool That Has It All

This pool project had us all pretty excited from the word go. The client came to us with their own ideas and a clear vision - and working together to make those come to life was a real pleasure. There was a fair bit to balance, especially since the entire thing needed to reflect not just modern trends but genuinely make life easier and more enjoyable. The indoor-outdoor connection with the adjacent house was important too - so we kept all of this in mind through our work.

The set-up has a spa at one end that’s nicely separated from the pool, and a shallow beach at the other, all connected by a gorgeous acrylic viewing window. We’ve always thought that looking into the pool would be one of those things that never gets old, and this project cemented that for us. There’s a heating and lighting system that brings the whole thing alive, even after dark, plus a swim jet system for those who want a bit more exercise than just lounging.

On the exterior, we picked classic bluestone that matched the house and added safety glass fencing and underwater lights. There’s also an automated sunbather pool cover for when the pool isn’t in use. As far as the luxury aspect goes, we made sure the pool has an Astral Pools Internet Gateway, a Paramount PV3 In-Floor Cleaning System, and in-house controls. In case you’re wondering, that’s because nothing says modern luxury like not having to worry about maintenance all the time.

All in all, there’s everything from an infinity edge feature and multi-purpose spaces for the spa and wading areas to tech-forward features and eye-catching details to bring it all together. The biggest win? The pool and outdoor space go perfectly with the client’s lifestyle and have plenty of space for playing, swimming, and relaxing.
